10 Years And Counting!

I should've done this when it reached the 5 years milestone, but oh well, better late than never!

It has been 10 years since TOYLB has started its humble beginnings as we stumble around to try and gauge each other's RP style and get used to how we play our roles and stuff. 

Technically my RP buddy xSapphire-Catx and I have known each other for more than 10 years, just getting to know each other and be buddies long enough to be able to dive into the vast world of RP-ing, but for the RP itself and its publication, it has been 10 years.

There have been a few bumps in the road, as well as long hiatuses on my part (becoming a mother and juggling real life responsibilities), but we stayed strong and carried on without fail to create, expand and share our fandom world of Osmosis Jones!

[they continued to catch up with each other, n before they realized it, all the kids were tuckered out n were asleep on their parents and/or grandparents lap]

Ambrose: I think this is our cue for us to go, guys

Ozzy: [was a little reluctant as he unconsciously leaned close to his parents]

8Selene n Serenity passed the kids to Thrax8

Matrix: Don't worry, u will get to see us anytime u want

Rodeo: Yeah, bro. U got the pendant, u can hv a field day with it whenevr u want

Ozzy: [nodded] /I'm still gonna miss u tho.../

Ashleee; Oh sweetie 8held him tight8

Ozzy: [hugged her bk] /I finally get to see my parents, my REAL parents, not the ones tht hv been lying to me n made me live in a fantasy world all my life... I don't evr wanna lose u guys/

Miracle: I'm gonna miss u, my little pups [kissed all his sleeping kids] n I'll miss u the most, my pet [gave Alexis a deep kiss]

Bunzaemon: [chuckled n took Takashi in his arms, hugging him] Don't be so formal, son. We're family, first n foremost, remember?

Takashi: Ha-Hai... [hugged him bk; it's been so long since he felt his father's embrace]

Dieter: [hugged his parents goodbye]

Viktor: Eets so good to finally meet jou, Vincent. I can tell jou make Mein son very happy

Salvador: [was the only one amongst the kids who was still awake, looks at his grandparents for a while, then slowly comes towards them]

8they both looked at him8

Salvador: [reaches his arms out, finally making eye contact with them] Opa... Oma...

8they smiled n hugged him, purring8

Salvador: [hugged them bk]

Dieter: [smiled proudly at their son]

Vincent; 8lay against him8

Magdelina: [hugged Antonio n Ricardo goodbye]

Ricardo: Sorry for walking off for a bit there, I didn't mean any disrespect...

Juanita: Oh it's fine. We know how u feel. Miguel himself has done tht a few times during certain gatherings. U n him r sorta on the same boat, we understand

Magdelina: Don't worry, we'll help u track dwn ur papa. We've got nothing bt time here, we've been helping out Miguel track dwn his wife too. Maybe nxt time u come, ur papa might be here with us to greet u

Bunzaemon: Amun-san doesnt want me to tell u for fear of alarming u, bt I must warn u, ur family may be caught in the crossfire frm whatevr tht might resurface, so pls be aware, especially for ur mate

Bunzaemon: Just a fair warning. Take care, Thrax-san [rejoins his group]

[Everyone waved goodbye before disappearing from the Plains in a blinding flash, n find themselves bk at the open field where they were meditating]

Ricardo: [looked up at the night sky] Wow, didn't realize it was so late

Antonio; No wonder the ninyos are tired

Morty: It'll be too late to drive bk all the way here from the Appendix to our home. We should find a motel to stay for the night n continue our journey tomorrow

Alexis; Think I saw one a block away from here 8has his twins in his arms8

Takashi: Sa, ikimasho ne [carries the sleeping Tonbo in his arms]

Orion; 8carrying their twins8 Let's hope it's decent

Ozzy: [carried Ozma close n followed Alexis's lead to the said motel]

Alexis; 8lead them to the place but kept on alert8

TOYLB: Growing Pains - Season 8-9

[it took a while, bt soon everyone was there n they somehow ended up in a huge mansion garden with all the awnings n trimmings n such, n they were all gathered together under a super huge white tent (like those for an outdoor wedding), sitting at an outdoor dining table long n big enough to seat everyone in it, with snacks of all of their background origins laid before them n everyone just enjoyed the company n chat abt old times n their old lives wen they were alive]

8some of the grandparents were teaching their grandkids a few things like Alexander teaching Polly how to track n hunt and Panchito teaching Sofia how to dance traditional dances8

Ricardo: [still felt a little bit like an odd one out as he quietly watched everyone]

Loki: [felt left out as well, despite his siblings getting along rather well with Matrix n Ashlee, since neither of his parents were here in The Plains to meet him, part of him relieved not to see them, but part of him still felt lonely as well]

Ricardo: [made eye contact with Loki n realized a kindred spirit, gave a nod n a jerk to excuse themselves frm the group]

Loki: [nodded n followed him, leaving Crystal with Rouge, as they walked together into the garden]

8Rouge n Antonio exchanged worried looks8

Rodeo: [nudged Rouge n jerked his head, giving him the "follow him" look]

Juanita (Sr): [does the same to Antonio as well]

8the two males went after their mates8

Loki&Ricardo: [sat together at a nearby pond]

Ricardo: Left out, huh?

Loki: Yeah. U too?

Ricardo: Isn't it obvious? [chuckled sadly]

Antonio; Mi amour

Ricardo: [looks up] T-Toni. Sorry, we just came to get some air

Loki: Yeah, it was getting a little crowded in there

Rouge; 8arched a brow8

Loki: [hesitated a bit then sighed] Maybe we shouldn't have to come along after all, or at least I shouldn't hv been here

Rouge; Why not love/

Loki: Bcoz... [hesitated again] ...bcoz I'm the odd one out. My siblings n I... We're the only ones who has no family in The Plains to look forward to. It's obvious with them not here that my parents r either in The Mists or in The Void. Either way, even tho I did say tht I worry my mom would do something to u if she's here... I just... Feel left out

Ricardo: Same here. I know my father is dead, bt he's still lost out there, not knowing I'm here, n my mom is not here n she's a good woman, so she's probably still alive. I'm no good hanging out with ur family wen there's nothing I can relate with them... [looks dwn sadly]

Antonio; Ricky you saw how my family acted round you

Ricardo: Yeah, I know, I just... can't help it, I guess, like as much as I'm part of the family, I'm still sort of an outsider

Loki: Sorry for being such a downer. I knw its supposed to be our happy day n all...

Rouge; 8held him close8

Loki: Is Crystal getting along well with ur parents?

Rouge; 8chucles8 Ma's finding it hard to spent time with all her grandkids

Loki: [giggled] I can see that, especially with Thrax's brood

Ricardo: I guess we should go bk before they realize we're gone

Loki&Ricardo: [took their mates' hands]

[the clan was still having fun chatting amongst themselves n reminiscing]

Gee Gee: Speaking of which, where hv u been, Bunzaemon? U, Amun n Alexander hv been missing for quite a bit, we were worried. U weren't even ard to greet the kids wen they showed up

Bunzaemon: Sunimasen (sorry), we hv been busy monitoring The Horizon

Takashi: The Horizon? Nanda, oto-san (whats that, dad)?

Bunzaemon: It's sort of like an outlook border btwn The Plains n the world of the living. We felt a sort of foreboding omen. We fear tht there might be trouble coming ur way in the near future

Alexander; 8took a long gulp of beer8 What else is new B/

Morty: Oh dear, do u knw wat trouble it might be?

Bunzaemon: [shook his head] Gomen, we don't knw yet. The Horizon is not exactly vry good at giving a clear image. All we knw is tht there is something lying dormant within the body u live in n it'll resurface, bt to cause good or harm, we cannot tell

[at Antonio's side...]

Ricardo: [kept the kids close to him as they walked ard, taking in the sights]

8they were in what looked like a mix of Mexican n Spanish town8

Ricardo: Wow... Kinda reminds me of the Land of the Dead tht humans imagine it to be

Antonio; Sii, really is beautiful

Carlos&Juanita: [hears music in the distance n went ahead]

Ricardo: Slow dwn, kids! [goes aftr them holding Asher close in his arms]

Antonio; 8followed with the rest of the kids8

[they found themselves in the middle of a town square, where music was playing n there was a couple dancing together in the distance near a fountain, rose petals raining dwn on them]

Carlos&Juanita: [ran towards the fountain to try n catch the rose petals, then looked up curiously to see the dancing couple]

8the couple dancing were Spanish Flu that had the same colouring as Antonio, the he-virus wore a simple blue shirt n brown pants with stone coloured boots while the she-virus wore a light red n gold dress with red shoes n Aztec marigolds in her hair. Near them were a she-virus mariachi playing the trumpet who looked a lot like them dressed in a black mariachi outfit while a he-virus in a red mariachi outfit played the guitar. This he-virus was the image of Hector8

Carlos&Juanita: [stared in awe at the way they danced]

Ricardo: There u are, u had us worried... [sees the couple] T-Toni, look...

Antonio; 8smiled8

Ricardo: Do u think those r ur...parents...?

Antonio; 8smiled as he continued watching, old memories coming back8

[the music soon slowed down, n the couple hugged each other happily]

Carlos& Juanita: [clapped happily at them, catching the couple n the mariachi-s attention]

8the all turned to the group8

[the she-virus gasped at seeing Antonio, then runs up to hug him tight]

Magdelina: Oh, my little mijo~

Antonio; Mama 8hugs her, purring8

Magdelina: [turns to her mate] Honey, look! Our mijo is here!

Panchito; Sii mi amour, it has been too long

Magdelina: Juanita! Look! It's ur brother!

Juanita: Toni!! [tosses the trumpet to the male mariachi n runs to Antonio, glomping him]

Ricardo: [smiled at the sight, tho seemed sad that his own parents weren't there; last he saw them, his mother n sister were still alive n well]

Antonio; 8nuzzles them8

Magdelina: [sees the kids] Santa Madre, r those ur little brood?

Carlos&Juanita: [waved sheepishly at them]

Antonio; Sii mama 8points to each child8 Carlos, Juanita, Milagro, Sofia n Asher

Juanita: Aww, u named ur eldest girl after me? I'm so honoured [gives little Juanita butterfly kisses] N look at this little tito~ [picked Milagro up n nuzzled him]

Magdelina: [kissed each kids in the cheek before seeing Ricardo] This is ur mate? A he-cell?

Ricardo: Hi, I'm Ricardo, Ricardo Amino... [smiled sheepishly]

Panchito; 8shook his hand excitedly8 Please to me you muchacho

Ricardo: Uhh, pleasure's all mine [felt a little awkward at his enthusiasm]

Juanita: Oh Papa, dont frighten the poor boy [shooed him aside] Don't mind him, Papa can be a bit too enthusiastic sometimes. N this here is Miguel, he's friend of the family, deceased not too long ago, we found him n took him into our fold n I'm Juanita, Toni's big sister

Magdelina: Ooh look this sweet little angelito [picks up Asher n cradled him close] Oh, I miss holding a little baby. Feels like yesterday I had my little Juanita n my little Toni in my arms

Juanita: Oh, Mama, dont embarrass me in front of my bro in law~

Ricardo: [chuckled, tho his heart ached at the sight of the happy family; he kept tht feeling hidden tho]

Miguel; 8watched the family interact with a sad smile8

Antonio; Too long mama

Ricardo: [excused himself to sit somewhere away frm them to let them bond, watching them frm afar, just a few inches away frm Miguel]

Miguel; They're great people

Ricardo: Yeah, they sure do... [turned to him] Just u? Where's the missus?

Miguel; Haven't found her yet

Ricardo: Kids? Still ard in the living?

Miguel; Not sure, Coco was pregnant when I died but I'm not sure if the baby was born alive

Ricardo: Wat happened? How did u two die, if u dont mind me asking?

Miguel; 8sighs8 I'm not sure of Coco I was heading home from a concert I was playing but I started to feel a agonising pain in my gut, so bad I collapsed in the street 8pauses8 I woke up dead

Ricardo: Sounds like... u either had food poisoning...or u were poisoned

Miguel; Hard to say

Ricardo: [sighed a little] My dad passed away wen I was pretty young, it was just me, my mom n my sister. Then I was wrongly accused of a crime I didn't commit n my sister made my mom n my whole family think I was a thief, n even after I was proven not guilty, she refused to believe it nor did she let me return to my family. Last I saw them was wen we had to leave the body we were in bcoz he committed suicide. I dunno if they're still alive or already dead, n it's obvious my dad is not on this side of The Plains

Miguel; 8rubbed his chin8

Ricardo: [sighed again] I just hope wherevr he is, he's happy n at peace

Miguel; Who knows muchacho

Milagro: [came tottering to Ricardo] Mama? U OK?

Ricardo: [smiled sadly] Yeah, I'm OK, don't worry, sweetie

Miguel; 8looked at the boy8 He's a fine nino

Ricardo: He's a miracle [carried him n held him close] He was way past extraction n we almost lost him, bt here he is [nuzzled him]

Milagro: [giggled]

Miguel; 8gave a sad smile8

Ricardo: [noticed his sad smile] Oh sorry... I didnt mean to...

Miguel; It's alright 8sighs8 I sometimes wonder what my little one would be like

Ricardo: Wat would u hv named them? Did u n ur wife discuss abt names?

Miguel; 8smiled8 I chose Luisa if it was a girl n  Coco chose Hector if we had a son

Ricardo: Those r quite beautiful names, maybe I could lend an ear out to see if he might be ard in the world of the living, n nxt time we get a chance to come here, I can let u knw

Miguel; 8sighs8 But it maybe false hope, I'm not sure our baby survived

Ricardo: Well, u nvr knw, I'll keep a lookout anyways, how old would they be if they were to survive?

Miguel; They would be currently 10

Morty: Woah, this is wat The Plains look like? [marveled at the scenery]

Julius; 8holding the twins as he looked at the autumn scenery8

Aida: [giggled as she ran ard n flung the autumn leaves from the ground] Wee~~

Morty: [chuckled] Slowly, girl, u don't wanna get lost

8the sound of crunching leaves came from behind them8

Morty: [turned to see who it was]

Aida: [turned as well, moving close to her parents]

8Julius's parents approached them smiling8

Morty: R they...?

Aida: Grandma? Grandpa?

Julius; Yes sweetie, these are mommy's parents

Damien: My, my, Monique, look who's here to see us

Aida: [stays close to Morty, a little shy]

Monique; It's good to see you again my son

Morty: [nodded curtly] Hello, nice to meet you, I'm...

Damien: Mortiary, we know. Ur our son's mate

Monique; It's nice to finally meet you

Aida: [hid behind Julius as she peeked at the newcomers]

Monique; 8spotted her n knelt down8 Hello there

Aida: [hid her face behind Julius' bk, a bit shy]

Julius; Sweetie it's ok

Aida: [peeked out again]

Damien: We're ur grandparents, sweetie

Morty: It's okay, sweetie, go say hi

Aida: [goes forward slowly to meet her grandparents]

Monique; 8reached out n stroked her hair8

Aida: [purred n nuzzled against her]

Damien: Heh, just like Jules wen he was young

Monique; 8gently picked her up while massaging n petting her face like she did with her son8

Aida: [purred at her massages as she hugged her, laying her head comfortably on her shoulder]

Damien: Yup, definitely a chip off the old block [grinned at Julius]

Julius; 8blushes8 Though personality wise she's more her father

Morty: Eheh, more or less

Damien: I see these are ur new addition [peeked at the twins Julius was carrying]

Julius; 8smiles8 This Francoeur 8nodded at their son8 and Francine 8nods to their daughter8

Damien: Nice, a touch of French in their name

Morty: They were a surprise reli, we weren't expecting twins at first

Monique; 8smiled at them8

Morty: [looked ard a little warily, bt also a little expectantly]

Julius; Something wrong love/

Morty: Nothing, just thought...well, maybe I might end up seeing my folks, bt at the same time I don't

Damien: Didnt hv a good relationship with ur folks?

Morty: We were pretty dicey, n we parted at...not so good terms, so to speak

Monique; Then it's doubtful they'll be here on the Plains

Morty: Yeah, well, u see... [gave them an abbreviated version of how his home life was, how he was forced to pretend to be a girl bcoz he wasnt born a girl as his parents expected, n the event tht was the last straw tht made him leave home] ...n I left home n nvr looked bk

Damien: Tht is quite a life u had there, young man

Monique; 8nods8

Morty: Yeah, I mean, I get it, they're doing this out of desperation, they just reli wanted a daughter, bt still...

Damien: Then most likely their actions constitute them to be in The Mists

Morty: The Mists?

Monique; 8explained what the Mists were8

Morty: Oh, I see... It's fine then. N if they're not in The Mists or The Plains, then they're probably still alive n kicking somewhere. We HIVs are nearly immortal as long as we hv our dogs aftr all

Damien: Speaking of, where is ur dog?

Morty: He's... [bit his lip as instead of his current dog (which was supposed to be a 'she', he thought abt his old dog Excalibur]

Monique; 8smiles8 Think I know someone who wants to see you 8whistles loudly8

[the sound of pitter-patter came close]

Aida: [looked up n beamed] Callie~!!

8the large dog came bouldering over8

Morty: [gasped] Ex... Excalibur??

Excalibur; 8wagged his tail8

Morty: [ran up to him n hugged] Ooh, I missed u so much, ol' friend

8the dog licked his master's face lovingly8

Morty: [laughed as he let Excalibur lick his face] Yeah, I missed u too. Hey, like my new look? [showed him his new eye colour courtesy of his bonding with his new dog Bloodmoon]

Morty: I had to bond with another dog to save my life, n this is wat happened aftr I bonded with the new dog. I wasnt ready to leave Jules or my babies. U understand, right?

Excalibur; 8barked n wagged his tail8

Aida: Callie~ [made grabby hands at him, vry excited to see her old friend as well]

Monique; 8set her down8

Aida: [ran up to Excalibur n glomped him]

Dieter: [sees a field of lavender] Heh, figurez. Mutti alvayz had a sing for lavender [plucked some to put on Vincent n his kids' hair]

Twins: [giggled]

Salvador: [fingered the lavender on his head, bt doesnt take it off]

Vincent; 8inhales deeply8

Dieter: [looked ard n saw a tiny hill up ahead with two figures relaxing underneath the shade of a huge tree, n smiled, waving] Mutti! Vatti!

Vincent; It's a pleasure to meet you at last

Viktor: Pleasure eez all mine, mein child [comes to shake Vincent's hand]

Dieter: Here's ur Oma (grandma) und Opa (grandpa), mein chiddlers

Twins: [squealed n hugged Adelaide]

Adelaide; 8cuddled the children close8

Salvador: [doesn't move; the new ppl made him wary as he stared at the ground]

Viktor: R jou alright, Mein child?

Vincent; 8cradled Pearl8 This is our son Salvador, Sal fr short n I'm sorry he's not use to new people

Dieter: Heez mildly autistic, takes heem a vhile to git used to new ppl

Viktor: Oh, ze poor dear. Eets alright, Opa won't force jou to do anyzing uncomfortable

Dieter: Und zis eez our new addition, Pearl [gestured to her]

Hippolyta: [holding onto Samson's hand, marveled at the surroundings tht seems to hv a tropical setting] Ooh, look, Samson! We're at the beach! [giggled as she kicked happily at the waves frm the sea rolling in]

Alexis; Don't go too far you two

Hippolyta: [giggled with Samson as they both tread the water, hving fun with it as they ran ahead of their father, then bumped into someone] Oof! S-Sorry, I didn't... [looked up n gasped, speechless at the familiar face looking dwn at her]

Miracle: Hey, my little sweet gladiators [smiled at the two kids]

Alexis; 8was holding the twins8 Songbird/

Miracle: [looked up n smiled at him] Hey there, love

Hippolyta: Mama~~!! [glomped Miracle, crying happy tears]

Miracle: [hugged them bk, nuzzling them] My little babies. I missed u so much

Gee Gee: [from a distance] Oh! There u are! Trinity's been trying to find u [approaches them with a toddler in tow]

Miracle: Oh, sorry, Gee Gee. C'mere, Trinity. Meet ur younger sibs

Trinity: [went towards Miracle n hid behind his legs, a little shy at seeing the newcomers]

Miracle: It's okay, sweetheart, it's ur daddy, the one I've been talking abt, n ur younger sibs

Hippolyta: [sees her n waved] Hi

Samson; 8waved8

Trinity: [slowly comes up to them, tho despite being their older sister, she was still at her toddler age, due to the fact that she died young]

Alexis; It's nice to finally meet you Trinity

Trinity: [looks up shyly at her stepfather, then sees the twins in his arms]

8the twins tilted their heads8

Trinity: [looked at Miracle]

Miracle: U wanna hold one of them, sweetie?

Trinity: [nodded]

Alexis; 8passed her Gigi8

Trinity: [stood on tippytoe to take her, then looked at Gigi n giggled]

Hippolyta: Isn't our sister cute, big sis?

Trinity: [nodded]

Gee Gee: [leans in to see the twins] Aww, r these my new grandchildren?

Alexis; Yes mama

Gee Gee: [stroke their cheeks] Wat are their names?

[the family ate lunch n made small talk, until wen they were almost done, Hunter finally returned home]

Hunter: It's was reli fun. We all swapped stories n jokes, played party games, had a blast with the food. One of my classmates is rich, so he insisted on paying for it n let us hv fun

Hunter: [peeked at the dishes Alakay settled] Wat was for lunch anyways?

Alakay: Lasagna, baked potatoes n mushroom soup

Hunter: Ooh, sounds yummy. We had burgers, fries n fried chicken. Super crispy stuff

Shane: Ugh, ur making me feel bloated just hearing abt ur food

Hunter: [helped to put the last of the dishes before following his siblings to the study to do their homework]

Hecro: Hey, bro. I'm gonna head out for a while to do this thing for Oz n Leah. U gonna be cool at home?

Hecra: Yeah, I'm good. I've got the kids to help me out if I need anything
