Dray: *did study the map for a while n ate some food she ordered frm one of the servants, bt her mind wandered to the princess. She couldnt help being curious abt her. Her beauty was way divine, she had to see her again*

Rory; 8looked round, sketching the architecture7

Terry: *was reading up on the history of this realm*

Sakura; 8jotted down  n memorized all they had8

Terra: *helped Rory with the sketch with watevr he might miss*

*Jared&Carlos had found the swimming pool they wanted n made their way to swim*

Carlos: C'mon in, sis! The water is fine!

Jared: *nodded, inviting Hope in as well*

Hope; 8jumped in8

Carlos: *waited for his sister Juanita to come in*

Jared: *happily splashed water with Hope*

Juanita; 8slipped in8

Dray: *went out n search for Acacia, wondering where she might be*

Acacia; 8was sitting in her study, sorting through some documents8

Dray: *found her n smiled, it was an open air study, so she knocked on the pillar gently* Umm... Hi, may I come in?

Acacia; 8took off the glasses she wore8 Of course

Dray: *entered* Umm...Need any help with those?

Acacial No thank you I can manage

Dray: *nodded, then saw one of the realm's history books* May I?

Acacia; Just be careful with it

Dray: *nodded* I will *takes the book n started reading thru it* Hmm...So this region ur running, it only makes baked goods? Nothing else?

Acacia; Afraid not

Dray: *read some more* Oh, I see. Ur region supplies baked goods throughout the entire realm, n in return ur region get other food items frm other regions. So each region is designated one natural resource occupation to provide the whole economy. Huh, its a pretty tedious system u hv here

Dray: I'm sure ur ppl here would like to do something else other than bake goods all the time. Wat if they aspire to be something else? Like a farmer, perhaps, or a blacksmith?

Acacia; I have tried for my people to choose what they wish to be but they are 'suck in a rut' as it were

Dray: Heh, kinda reminds me of where I come frm. I'm a cold pill, u see, so we're pretty much "stuck in a rut", we can't be anything else

Acacia; I see

Dray: Bt aftr seeing my brother...I guess tht truth doesnt last vry long. We CAN be anything we want to, given time. N given time n effort, I'm sure u can change too, evn if ur the 12th child

Safia: *was going to call Acacia for lunch wen she sees Dray n her being lovey-dovey n gasped* U! Dont touch the mistress! Dont u get any bright ideas *pouts*

Dray: *was surprised n annoyed at Safia barging in, bt let Acacia's hand go*

Acacia; 8shook her head then gathered her work8

Safia: Lunch is almost ready, mistress. The foreigners r welcomed to join us

Acacia; I hope what we have is suitable to your liking

Dray: *chuckles* At least u hv normal food instead of just all baked goods *followed Acacia n Safia to the dining room*

Carlos: Awesome!

Jared: *signed* We found the pool~!

Rory; Quite some arcutechure here

Terra: Yeah, its reli amazing, its almost like the structure in Avalon's history, bt a little different

Terry: N the history here is also pretty interesting too

Dray: It is. I've read a few myself

Sakura; 8stretched out to get rid of the cricks in her back before sitting down8

Dray: Glad u guys r entertaining urselves here, keeping occupied is good

*the servants came in with the food*

Carlos: Ooh~ I'm starving~

*food was served, n evryone tucked in*

Sakura; 8as usual only took a small amount8

Terra: *took her usual big portion*

Terry: *chuckles n shook his head* I swear I wonder where u stuff them all in

Hope; 8munched on her's8

Terra: *pouted at her twin brother* Its food for the brain. I store them in my brain, thank u vry much *started eating*

Jared: *licked his lips as he ate his fill*

Rory; 8only had as much as Sakura8

Dray: 8took her share, tho couldnt help stealing glances at Acacia*

Acacia; 8took only a small amount herself

*the kids spent the day doing more exploring n stuff, while Dray carried on trying to shorten the distance btwn her n Acacia, then finally it was nightfall n evryone retired to bed, except Dray n the kids, who were up studying the map*

Sakura; 8looked at it8

Jared: *looke at it as well*

Dray: Hmm, this shouldnt be too hard a route

Carlos: Do u think we'd get weapons?

Rory; Who knows

Jared: *signed* I hope I can get a bow n arrow. I'd loved to be an archer *giggled*

Terry: Then I'd like to get a sword, so I can be a knight in shining armor for u *kissed Sakura's hand*

Sakura; 8slapped him8

Terry: Oow! Wat gives?

Terra: U forget Kura doesnt like playing the damsel in distress

Terry: Well sorry for trying to be a gentleman abt it

Jared: *signed* So how r u getting on with the mistress?

*the gang studied all night, mapping the routes, discussing the plots, planning their moves until all the kids crashed first*

Dray: *smiled n carried them all to the other bed n tucked them in before going to bed herself*

*the kid led the group to a big Scottish manor, almost as grand as a palace*

Terra: Wow~ Is ur mistress a princess?

Kid: Yes, she is the 12th princess n 15th royal child in the ranks. This is her region to rule. She doesnt reli like to be called princess. She's vry humble. Just call her mistress

Sakura; 8hid a sile8

*they were soon led to the throne room where the mistress was*

Kid: Mistress Acacia, I hv brought the foreigners as u n the wisemen requested

8tall female stood up, she had small horns on her head as well as gargoyle wings but the rest of her appearence looked human including mocca skin8

Dray: *her eyes set upon her n she immediately blushed; she looked like a goddess of beauty before her eyes*

Terra: Wow... *whispers to Sakura* She's so pretty

Terry: For a 15th child, she reli is

Rory; 8nods8

Kid: *led Acacia to the group* This is our mistress, Princess Acacia, daughter of Anathorn, King n Sovereign of this realm

Dray: Uuh...Umm...Hi... *blushed harder*

Acacia; Greetings young travelers

Dray: *clears her throat, trying to keep a level head* Umm, hi, my name is Dray n these r my wards *introduced all the kids to her*

Sakura; 8glared at the ward comment8

Terry: *nudged her a little*

Terra: We've been brought here by magic to help destroy an entity that has been making our city sick. Do u knw anything of this, mistress?

Acacia: I do young one but not of the creature's whereabouts

Kid: Our wisemen might knw, mistress. Tht's why I brought them here

Acacia; 8nods8

Kid: *turns to a random servant* Go n call the wisemen here. Tell them the foreigners r here

8the maid bowed then left8

Kid: *led the gang to the guest corner close to the throne to sit before Acacia while she led Acacia to her sit up the throne*

Sakura; 8looked round8

*the whole plc was modestly rich, as if it was just enough to show Acacia's wealth, bt not too showy*

Dray: *couldnt help stealing glances at Acacia; she was so beautiful*

Terra: *grinned n nudged the girls, getting their attention to look at Dray's behaviour*

Sakura; Oh for the love of Tarturus

Jared: *noticed n giggled inwardly, nudging the other kids as well*

Carlos: *giggled*

Rory; 8rolled his eyes7

Jared: *signed to Hope* Maybe we should give her a helping hand on tht

Hope; 8looked unsure8

Terry: We could try. Who knws, maybe the mistress is secretly interested as well

Terra: Maybe later. Our mission is the most important aftr all

Sakura; That is the important n nothing else

*the wisemen soon came, n they were the same physique as Acacia, only difference was tht their skin were earth-green*

Wisemen1: Welcome, weary travellers. We r so glad tht u hv made it

Dray: *stood up n bowed to them* It is a little unorthodox, bt we're here for the mission

Acacia; Yes of course

Wisemen2: One of us had a vision a few days ago n we employed the best drafter to draw out this map according to our vision *hands the map to Dray* We hope this will help u

Dray: *takes the map* Thank u. We will try our best. We definitely dont want the city to die on us

Kid: *whispered to Acacia to suggest to the gang tht they stay the night before heading off for their mission*

Acacia; 8nods then turs to the group8 But for now you should rest n begin your search come the mourn

Dray: Thank u, mistress

Kid: Come, I'll show u to ur quarters

*the gang was led to a huge room tht was enough to fit all of them n a couple of big beds tht were enough for all of them to sleep on*

Kid: Enjoy ur stay for the day. Our services is at ur disposal *bowed n left*

Terra: Come, sweetie, lets explore this plc!

Terry: Yeah, they might hv a library somewhere. We can learn more abt this plc

Sakura; 8came to him8

Carlos: I wanna explore too! They may hv a swimming pool or something!

Jared: *perked at the word 'swimming pool'; he loved swimming*

Dray: Now, now, hold ur horses. U can go explore, bt u must hv an escort. I dont want u guys to get lost

Terry: Now, now, she's the adult here. N this is a big plc. Better safe than sorry

Dray: I'll look for tht kid just now *goes out to look*

*soon Dray came bk with the kid, whose name was Safia, n a couple of teen servants*

Dray: Alright, they're here. U can go wherevr u all want now

Terry: Ur not coming with us?

Dray: *shook her head* I'm gonna study the map, n maybe get myself some real food

*all the kids took on their own escort n went their way*

*the ride was pretty long, with vry few stops in btwn, n wen they finally got to their destination, it was almost daybreak*

8everyone got off8

Dray: *woke up to find tht they've reached their destination n woke the kids* C'mon, we're here

Jared: *whined n clung onto Dray, not wanting to wake up*

Carlos: *as were he*

Juanita; 8pinched his cheek8

Dray: Dont bother him. He's still tired *got off the bug train n looked ard* Hmm...Something smells pretty good. Where r we?

Terry: Ur right. It smells like...baked goods

Rory; 8sniffed8

Terra: *sniffed too* Mmm~ Smells delicious~ Now I'm hungry

Sakura; 8looked round8

*the gang followed the scent, n wen they got out of the train station, it seemed tht it is something like a baker's street, literally, with evry business establishment being baked goods*

Sakura; 8sweatdropped8

Terra: Woah~! This is like totally bread town~!

Dray: Lets fill our stomachs a little, then we'll think of where to go nxt

*the sleepy kids were soon awakened by the smell as well, n tummies were growling*

Rory; 8sighed in frustration8

*the gang made their way to one shop tht looked like a cafe n took a seat*

Sakura; 8looked at the menu8

*the menu, as expected, was all baked goods n pastries, with the occasional poultry n eggs n dairy items, bt at least the drinks were normal*

Dray: *looked ard to observe tht no one seems to be serving, like it was a self-service thing n ppl just took wat they want n ate n dropped their payment in the cashier box*

Rory; 8sighed8

Dray: I'll go get our food. Just stay here. Wat do u want to eat?

8each gave their order minus two serious kids8

Dray: *noticed Rory n Sakura not ordering* Arent u kids hungry?

Rory; Not really

Dray: It will prolly be a longer journey ahead, n who knws how long we might get there. U should at least hv something to fill ur stomach

Dray: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, u knw

Jared: *signed* Forget it. They're better at starving, just like Daddy

Jared: *shot him bk a "Wat? Its the truth" look*

Dray: Alright, I'll go get it, just stay put. N do u hv anymore marbles, Jared?

Jared: *took out abt 5*

Sakura; 8lay back8

Dray: *took the marbles n took watevr food they needed before dropping the marbles into the cashier box*

8they kids started on their food8

Dray: *gave Sakura n Rory a glass of honey milk n a milk bun each* At least something to nibble, OK? *went on n ate her food*

8they nibbled on them8

Dray: *noticed tht they were being given a strange look by some ppl in the restaurant* Eat a little quickly, kids. I hv a bad feeling abt this.

8they finished quickly8

Dray: *quickly finished her food too n waited for the kids to finish before ushering them out*

Sakura; 8stayed close to her brother8

*they walked for a while, Dray sensing tht they were being followed. She then led them to a dark alleyway n put her finger to her lips to silence them n went ahead to try n catch their stalker*

Sakura; 8retracked her claws8

Dray: *waited for the right moment, then quickly grabbed the stalker n slammed it to the wall* Why r u following us?!

Rory; 8hissed8

*the stalker turned out to be a small child, with gargoyle features, bt as usual, something different than regular gargoyle cells frm their realm*

Carlos: Woah! Easy, Auntie. Its just a kid!

Sakura; 8looked him over8

*the kid whimpered, looking like she was abt to cry*

Dray: *settled her dwn* I'm sorry. I didnt mean to scare u. I just thought u were out to harm us

Sakura; 8stepped forward8

Kid: I'm...I'm sorry...I just...I just saw u paying...with those wonderful marbles...I thought u could be the one

Carlos: The one?

Rory; 8arched a brow8

Dray: Wat do u mean?

Kid: The one...The one my mistress wanted me to bring forth...to rid us of the evil demon resides in this realm

Terry: She means the entity tht's making Goliath sick

Sakura; 8shot him a half-eyed look8

Terry: Wat? Wat did I say wrong?

Carlos: Yeah, he was just explaining wat she said. Ppl here talk funny

Kid: *shook her head* Bt my mistress' wiseman may hv an idea. Pls, come with me. I will bring u to her

Dray: *kept them close, with the younger kids on her shoulders again as they all went dwn the alleyway*

Sakura; 8charged up her hand as a torch8

*the alleyway soon led them into some sort of a subway station, where they were standing in the middle of a crowd of ppl tht looked like gargoyle cells, bt there was something different abt them*

Sakura; 8tilted her head8

Dray: *looked ard n saw a ticket stand n went forth to it*

Rory; 8looked round8

Dray: *approached the sullen-looking ticket seller* Umm...I was told we were supposed to...take this ride, I guess?

8the ticket master looked up at her with a blank look8

Dray: Umm... *scratch her head, then looked up at the destination signs n let instinct guide her* Umm...I'll take 1 adult, 8 children for this route

8the cell deposited the tickets8

Dray: *was wondering wat to pay the ticket master with wen Jared came up to him*

Jared: *hands ovr 2 marbles, somehow instinct told him tht this was a valuable currency*

8the ticket master took them8

Dray: *takes the tickets* How do u knw wat to pay them with?

Jared: *shrugs, giving her a "I just knw" look*

Sakura; 8urchured the others to the stand8

Dray: *hears the sound of the train* Sounds like our ride is here. Keep away frm the yellow line, kids

8they kept close8

*the train soon came, bt it didnt look like a train, it looked more like a huge centipede-like caterpillar crawling thru the railway then skidding to a stop, then some of the patterns on its body opened to resemble doors n inside were cushy-looking seats, n the passengers got in without a fuss*

Dray: Wat in the world...? Does Goliath hv a parasite in his body??

Sakura; Another dimeion

Dray: Right. I keep forgetting tht. Well, come on, lets get in

*everyone went in except Terra, who was shivering at the sight of the bug*

Sakura; This is no time to get scared

Terra: *shook her head* B-Bugs...They're my weakness...I can't stand them...N now a bigger one...

Terry: Evr since a cockroach crawled up under her skirt n bit her thigh n got sick frm it, she's been afraid of all kinds of bugs evr since

Carlos: Why not blindfold? Tht's wat Mami does to Juanita wen she's afraid to cross the bridge bk then

Rory; 8borrowed his sister scarf n tied it on Terra, taking her hand8

Terra: *with nothing to see, she calmed dwn n let Rory take the lead, just in time before the door closed*

Dray: *led Terra to her seat n counted the kids* Alright, all accounted for. Sit tight, evryone

*the gang, following the sand creature's instruction, followed the direction of the sun above them n waded thru the desert, occasionally stopping wen the winds were getting too strong for them to go*

Sakura; 8shield her eyes as she looked round8

Terra&Terry: *used their wings to get to higher skies to scout abt, then pointed* Guys! We see it! The oasis!

Rory; How far?

Terra: Not far!

Terry: Abt 5 more miles ahead!

Sakura; 8waved them down8

*the twins returned to the group*

Dray: C'mon, the winds r letting up, lets go before it comes bk again. Stay close, kids

8the started off again8

*sure enough, 5 miles later, they reached the oasis*

Carlos: Water~!

Jared: *jumped off Dray to get the first sip of water*

Sakura; 8took a handful8

*some of the kids were lucky to hv their water bottles n canteens with them n filled it with water before drinking*

Dray: *drank a bit* So, we're here. Wat now?

Sakura; 8looked round8

*the kids walked ard until they came across a huge tablet amongst the bushes*

Sakura; 8cleared them away8

Dray: Woah, this tablet is...sorta written in Braille, weird

Jared: *gave it a try, going up the tablet n closed his eyes, touching the Braille to read it*

Terra: Wow, wen did he learn tht?

Sakura; Where do ya think?

Terry: *chuckles n shook his head* U Roja-s nvr cease to amaze me

Jared: *finished reading the Braille n turned to them, signing* The tablet said tht we must offer something in return for the water we've taken frm this oasis. We hv to throw it in there

Juanita; Like what/

Carlos: Maybe a personal possession, I suppose *took off his decorative badge pin n threw it into the oasis*

Jared: *threw in his plastic watch*

Hope; 8one of her berrets8

Terry: *took off his hair tie n threw it in*

Terra: *threw in one of her rings frm her wing talons*

Juanita; 8tossed in a bracelet8

8Sakura n Rory were hesited since all they had were the pendants round their necks8

Terry: Wat's wrong, Kura? Arent u tossing in anything?

Terra: Yeah, it says so on the tablet. U dont wanna get cursed, do u?

8the sibling exchanged looks8

Terry: U've got one tht u can give right here *unclasped the hair clip on Sakura's dreads*

Terra: N this *took off the bowtie frm Rory's uniform*

Hope; 8looked8

Terry: So, u gonna throw this in? It has to be by ur hand *puts the hair clip on Sakura's hand*

Terra: *does so with Rory's bowtie*

8the sibling approached the water's edge n dropped the items in8

Dray: *was the last to toss, n put in one of her capsules frm her chest compartment*

8the group looked round8

*a few moments later, the oasis started to bubble n froth, then slowly a whirpool formed in the middle n got bigger n bigger until it stopped, revealing a giant gorge below with a long winding staircase dwnwards*

Rory; 8inhaled sharply8

Carlos: Woah~ Tht is reli deep dwn there~

Terry: U can say tht again

Jared: *signed* Wat now?

Dray: I guess we better go dwn there. Tht sand creature did say our journey starts here

8they stand the head down the spiral staircase8

Dray: *kept the kids close as she led the way, going dwn the stairs carefully, as it was getting darker n darker*

Terra: *sees a torch at a distance n got it for Dray*

Sakura; 8looked round8

*the gang soon got dwn to the bottom of the spiral staircase where they were in the middle of the gorge, with no entrance or exit, bt a lone statue in the middle*

Carlos: Well, this is helpful *sarcasm*

Rory; 8looked at the statue8

*it was the statue of Goliath, posed as he was wen he was cursed in stone for 1000 yrs, n at his feet was another small tablet written in Braille*

Sakura; 8ran her handds over it to 'see' what it says8

*the message was some kind of riddle, telling them to guess which part of the wall will lead them to their nxt destination by finding the rock of the brightest star*

Terry: Wat does it say, sweetums?

Sakura; 8translated8

Dray: Find the rock of the brightest star? Huh, tht's a reli weird riddle

Rory; 8looked round8

*the kids also looked ard, feeling on the walls*

Sakura; Rock with the brightest star, hmm 8looked round8

Carlos: *looked up the sky n saw tht it was nightfall, n the stars were out, n then pointed at the brightest star* Hey look!

8they all looked up8

Carlos: *pointed at the brightest star, then followed its ray shine until it landed on the rock on the far left of the wall*

Rory; 8went over8

Terra: Try pushing it

Rory; 8gave it a slight push8

*the rock gave way inward, then a moment later it slid all the way in, then there was a slight rumble*

Rory; 8kept his balance8

Dray: *held onto the kids*

*the wall gave way into a door opening*

Sakura; 8arched a brow8

Jared: *signed* Is tht where we should go?

Carlos: Doesnt look like we've got anywhere else to be

Rory; 8pushed the door open8

*the door opened with a bit of a rumble, n it led them dwn to a long alleyway*

Dray: Keep close, kids. Lets get moving

8they started off again8

Dray: *had nothing much to do now tht the cold seemed to hv calmed dwn n was taking a walk in the park at the Right Lung District*

8there were several citizens there8

Dray: *turns to see tht there was an Avalon school outing n saw all the kids of the Roja family there, waved at one of them frm afar*

8the young hybrid waved back8

Dray: *sat at her bench n watched the school outing taking plc, which seemed like a bit of a picnic/scavenger hunt outing*

8Sakura n Rory prefered to read or sketch8

Dray: *relaxed for a bit, before suddenly she noticed something in the horizon tht didnt look right, like some kind of vortex, n it was growing n hovering ovr the outing group, got up n floated towards them* Watch out!!

8the group look up8

*the vortex suddenly got bigger n bigger n the outing group started panicking n dispersing, then it started sucking up some of the kids, including Sakura n Rory*

Terry: Kura!! *ran to her n spread his wings to try n catch her*

Terra: Rory!! *does so to Rory*

Dray: *tries to get most of the kids to safety, before seeing them n made a run towards them*

8the two Rojas seem to calm, no sign of fear on their faces8

*the vortex sucked a few more ppl n evrything ard them seemed to go dark, n wen Dray woke up, groaning, she found herself on a sandy ground, like they were in a desert, n the kids were unconscious, scattered all ovr the area*

Dray: *got up n ran up to Sakura n Rory first* Sakura! Rory! U alright? *carries them close*

8the siblings had a calm blank expression8

Dray: Hey, hey, kids. U OK? *sees the two gargoyle kids n came to them* Hey, u kids alright?

Terry: Ugh...Where r we?

Terra: Ooh, my head...

Dray: *continued to search for more kids, n once she rounded them all up, there was Sakura, Rory, Terra n Terry, Jared, Hope, Carlos n Juanita*

Juanita; Where are we?

Carlos: *rubbed his head n groaned*

Dray: I dunno...This doesnt evn look like a human city *looks ard*

Rory; 8dusted himself off8

Terra: *came to him* Hey, sweetie. U OK? *cupped his cheeks to chk if he was wounded*

Rory; I'm alright angel you?

Terra: Yeah, I'm good, tho I think I clipped my wing a little bit

Terry: *came to Sakura* Hey, hun. U alright? Anything broken?

Sakura; Just dizzy

Dray: We better find civilization *picks the younger kids up to ride on her shoulders* N maybe some water. This is like a friggin' desert here

*Dray led the way as they walked towards the direction of the "sun", then suddenly some form of small typhoon formed before their eyes*

Dray: *protected the kids* Stay close

Sakura; 8snarled8

*the typhoon slowly materialized into a sand version of Thailog standing before them*

Carlos: Woah! Tht looks like the Mayor!

Rory; 8looked round8

Hope; 8huddled close8

Jared: *held onto Hope*

Dray: *approaches the sand copy* Who...Who r u...?

sand!Thailog: I am the embodiment of this realm, taking the form of the leader u r familiar with. It is I who brought u here, tho I hv expected more adults than children

Rory; 8flexed n unflesed his claws8

Dray: Why did u summon us? Wat r we doing here?
