[the kids hear them return n went to the door to greet them]

Dieter: Guten tag, my chiddlers

Sal: Guten tag... [noticed the bundle Vincent was carrying n pointed at it curiously]

Vincent; 8went to the bathroom n started filling the sink8

Sal: [followed behind him, peeking thru to see wat he was doing]

Twins: Mutti, wat is tht?

Vincent; 8unwrapped the baby n gently lowered her into the warm water8

Sal: [pointed at the baby in surprise]

Twins: [gasp] Is tht a new sister for us?

Dieter: [chuckled n looked at Vincent to see wat he decides]

Vincent; 8flushed slightly as he bathed the little one8

Dieter: I suppose she eez, for now. Until someone frm her family vants to take her

Sal: [turns to Dieter n looked at him seriously, as if protesting against the idea of this new baby being taken away]

Vincent; 8shot their eldest a warning look before wrapping the baby in a warm towel8

Dieter: [chuckles] Looks like Salvador eez being protective of ze baby already

Twins: Does she hv a name?

Vincent; Not yet

Dieter: Do jou vanna give her a name?

Kids: [went deep in thought]

Vincent; 8dressed her in warm clothes8

Sal: [stared at the white skin the Salmonella spawn has n then picked up the Etch-n-Sketch, writing a name]

Vincent; 8arched a brow8

Dieter: [peeked in to look]

Sal: [aftr done writing, held up the Etch-n-Sketch, n it spelled PEARL]

Dominik: P-E-A-R-L. Pearl. Ooh, I get it, coz she's white n smooth, like a pearl~!

Vincent; Pearl 8looked at the little girl8

[the baby just cooed n soon fell asleep in the warmth of the blanket wrapped ard her]

Dieter: I zink eet eez a nice name, mein liebe [patted Salvador's head n smiled at him as well]

Vincent; Pearl Jem

Twins: [squealed in agreement]

Sal: [gave them one of his rare half-smiles, showing tht he was satisfied with the name as well]

Dieter: Pearl Jem eet eez, zen

Vincent; 8kissed her forehead8

Dieter: [led the way for him to the nursery to hv her settled]

Vincent; 8gently places her in the crib8

Kids: [watched their new family member snuggling into her new crib]

Dieter: [smiled as he stroke the spawn's silky bluish-green hair]

Vincent; 8gently turned on the mobile8

Dieter: I vonder vat the immunities might do to ze she-cell's body

Vincent; I dare not to think

[a knock was at the front door]

Vincent; 8looked out through the peephole8

[it was Devin outside the door]

Vincent; 8opened the door8

Devin: Hello, I'm Chief Devin. I understand u were the one who discovered the infected she-cell? A Ms. Fiona Wells Neuro?

Vincent; Yes/

Devin: May I come in?

Vincent; 8looked at Dieter8

Dieter: [looked to see who it was then nodded]

Vincent; 8let him in8)

Devin: I heard tht she-cell had been infected. May I see the spawn?

Vincent; 8cracked his knuckles8

Dieter: [frowned at Vincent warningly] Mein liebe...

Vincent; 8looked at the chief8

Devin: Sorry, bt its standard procedure

Dieter: Right this way, bt pls be quiet. She's sleeping

Devin: [nodded n followed him]

Vincent; 8followed8

Devin: [enters the nursery n examined the spawn frm his POV] Hmm... So it's Salmonella, huh?

Vincent; 8nods8

Devin: Bk in the old days, via standard procedure, this spawn would've been confiscated by the Goliath Federals n terminated

Sal: [widened his eyes n came btwn Devin n crib, growling at him, something he rarely did other than his usual poker face]

Vincent; 8stood next to him8

Dieter: Salvador, Vincent...

Devin: [chuckled sadly] Like I said, it's during the old days. Now with the new age, its alright. I'm assuming ur going to adopt this spawn?

Vincent 8looked at Sal n Di8

Dieter: [smiled n shrugged his shoulders; he himself would adopt the spawn in a heartbeat, following his adopted mother's example, n he already knws Vincent is quite taken with the spawn, n he would respect his decision]

Sal: [went poker face at him again, bt his eyes were almost sparkling, pleading him to agree]

Vincent; 8smiled at him, giving a soft nod8

Devin: Then its settled. U will hv to register this spawn as family with the social services tho

Dieter: Don't worry. We already hv one on our case [rolled his eyes at Ms Vihto who was in charge of monitoring them with Salvador's progress]

Vincent; 8sighed in relief8

Dieter: Just to be sure, would Ms Fiona's family try to claim her?

Devin: Unfortunately no. She had been ousted by her family evr since she was infected. They want nothing to do with her n they didnt evn flinch aftr hearing her death. Saying tht she was dead to them a long time ago [sighed sadly] Can't believe there are still families like these at this age

Vincent; Sounds like these type of families came from 'outside' Goliath from human cities

Devin: Could be, or could be old-fashioned ppl raised in old day ideology. Either way my work here is done. U take care of that spawn now

Sal: [cheeks puffed a little] Pearl. Baby's name Pearl

Vincent; Easy Sal 8placed his hands on the boy's shoulders8

Dieter: [was impressed at Sal's passion, knwing tht he wasn't reli one to voice his opinions, or talk much]

Devin: [chuckled humorously] Alright, sorry. Pearl. Its a nice name. So would u mind taking us thru wat had happened in ur own words before I leave, just so I can fill in my report?

Dieter: [nodded] Sure [led him to the living room n gave him his testimony of wat happened]

Vincent; 8added his own imput8

Devin: [got them all in his recording device] Alright, tht should do it. I'll leave u to ur family then. Good day, sirs [left the house]

Vincent; 8sighed in relief8

Dieter: Guess zat eez settled. I better call Thrax to tell him abt the Chief's visit
