Eduardo: Howdy. How's the kid with ya?

Boy: *flinched at the police wear Eduardo was wearing n ran to hide behind Dieter*

Vincent; He has quite an appitite

Eduardo: No surprise there, since he's been living in the streets. This is Ms Vihto, frm child services. She will need to assess the boy for a while

Ms Vihto: I'd like it if the child n I hv a room in private so I can assess him professionally

Vincent; Not a good idea 8looked at the boy8

Ms Vihto: Maybe if ur kids can accompany him, I think it should be fine

Eduardo: Besides, there r things I would like to speak to u abt the boy in private

Dieter: Dont vorry, mein liebe. I'm sure he'll be alright. Sveetie, ze nice young lady vants to hv a small talk vith jou. Dominik n Emily vill accompany jou, so jou dont hv to be alone. Can jou do dat?

Vincent; 8looked at him8

Boy: *looks warily at Ms Vihto for a while, then at the twins, then nodded quietly*

Twins: *takes either side of the boy's hands n led him to the study, in which Ms Vihto followed behind them*

Vincent; 8looked at Eduardo8

Dieter: *offered Eduardo some coffee*

Eduardo: *nodded a thanks n sat dwn* Well, there is not much to go by, bt frm preliminary results, the bodies were definitely the boy's parents

Vincent; we guessed that

Eduardo: The coroner was surprised tht the father of the boy is actually chickenpox, we dont get humanoid chickenpox virus vry often, well, actually, almost nvr in this decade

Vincent; 8wasn't surprised8

Eduardo: Coroner said he could be one in a trillion where he gains sentience aftr adapting to this city. Who knws, he might've mutated to humanoid by then n been homeless since

Dieter: Vat abt ze mutter, sir?

Vincent; 8arched a brow8

Eduardo: Well, we found her name was Susanne Taede, she used to be a model wen the fame, drugs n alcohol ate up her life. Apparently she went a little starstruck crazy aftr almost OD-ing, then she found she was replaced without her knowledge or consent, n she's been on the streets evr since. She must've met up with the chickenpox guy at some shelter n hooked up with him somehow. We still dunno the chickenpox guy identity. He's not registered in the system, so we're just calling him Doe for now.

Vincent; The price of fame

Dieter: Poor girl. Wat waz zier cause of death?

Eduardo: Both died of OD-ing n starvation, bt mostly OD. I'm surprised the boy evn survived. Did the kid give u his name?

Vincent; 8shook his head8

Eduardo: Huh, well, I'm sure Ms Vihto will be able to get some info out of him

Dieter: *patted Vince's hand*

Ms Vihto: *soon came out, along with the twins who led the boy to their room to play*

Eduardo: Well, wat is the assessment, Ms Vihto?

Ms Vihto: Well, I couldnt get him to speak much, bt it doesnt look like he's mute. My professional opinion is tht he may be autistic

Dieter: Did he give a name?

Ms Vihto: *shook her head*

Vincent; 8frowns slightly8

Eduardo: How bad his autism? Will he be able to communicate n stuff?

Ms Vihto: Its not a vry severe case, bt he will hv the basic mild tendencies. He's gonna need extra care n lots of patience. I can recommend a home for the special needs...

Dieter: Nien! *suddenly shout out of impulse*

Vincent; 8glared at her, snarling8

Eduardo: *was surprised* Dieter, ur not suggesting tht...

Dieter: Ja, I'm suggesting eet. I vill adopt ze boy

Ms Vihto: I'm sorry, bt I cannot recommend it if u hv no experience...

Vincent; Experience isn't always required

Dieter: Ve vill take him. Ve vill care for him. Eef jou vant to send in an expert to help us vith eet, eets fine, bt ve vill not let jou take him avay

Ms Vihto: *could see they were serious n sighed* Vry well, if u insist, bt I must insist tht u hv an expert monitor ur progress, n he will need to be in special classes so u can cope with him

Vincent; 8thought depends on the school8

Dieter: Ve'll see how zings go

Eduardo: Well, I guess the kid's all urs now. I suppose u should give him a name to be entered in the registrar sooner or later

Vincent; We'll see how things go

Eduardo: *nodded n got up, escorting Ms Vihto n left*

Dieter: *sent them out*

Vincent; 8went to check on the kids8

*the twins were asleep, cuddling against the boy, n the boy was leaning against the shelves, asleep as well*

Vincent; 8stroked his cheek gently8

Dieter: *peeks in n chuckles* He lookz vry peaceful

Vincent; 8smiled8

Dieter: I zink I better go bk to ze shop for a vhile to chk on zings n maybe close up eef need to. Jou vill be OK vith ze chiddlers?

Vincent; I will

Dieter: *nods n kissed Vincent before he left*

Vincent; 8brought the kids to their rooms8

Boy: *mumbled a little in his sleep as he was carried*

Twins: *fussed a bit bt didnt wake*

Vincent; 8tucked the twins into their bed before bringing the boy to the guest room8

Boy: *mumbled a bit, something tht sounded like 'Mommy', nuzzling against Vincent, still sleeping*

Vincent; 8kissed his forehead8
