*meanwhile at the hospital, all of Drix's colleagues were at the waiting room, waiting nervously for the doctor's result*

Leah; 8came in8

Colleague 1: Ah, there u r!

Assistant: *suddenly approached her* Wat the hell did u do to Metaphedamine?!

Leah; Me?

Colleague 1: Calm dwn, Masha *turns to Leah* We were doing a sort of experimental drug tht might be the key ingredient to help boost the immunities n the army barracks to counter the Xanatos Plague, bt its vry risky n vry poisonous in the early stages of development. Masha here accidentally broke her bio suit wen she tripped n hit the lab table where the drugs were, n Drix ran to shield her n got himself exposed to the poison of the drugs

Assistant: He told evryone to evacuate. He risked his life for me...He shouldnt hv...I asked him why would he do tht for me, n he said aftr wat he had did to his wife, he has nothing to live for...Its all ur fault! Ur his wife! Wat did u do to him to lose his will to live?! *sobs*

Leah; 8snarled8

Colleague 2: Dont mind her, our Masha has a small crush on ur husband since he started working with us. We still dunno wat's going on, the docs havent come out yet

Leah; 8glared at Masha8

Assistant: *just kept crying, saying "its all my fault" ovr n ovr*

*an hour later, the doc came out*

Leah; How iz he?

Doc: Ah, u must be his wife? Well, he's out in the clear, bt its a touch n go situation. Tonight is critical whether or not he will pass the danger phase, n his poisoning has...well, altered his appearance

Leah; How?

Doc: Well, u hv to see for urself. Its a little hard to explain. He's in ICU. U can see him, bt not for long

Leah; 8nodded and went to the ICU8

Drix: *was laying in bed, n saying tht he was pale was an understatement: his colour had literally been bleached off into grayscale, the part where he was supposed to be red was grey n the part where he was supposed to be yellow had turned white*

Leah; 8covered her mouth in shocked8

Drix: *was connected to tubes n IV drips n breathing support machines*

Doc: *comes in to chk his vitals* He's stable so far, now all we can pray for is tht he has a strong will to live

Leah; 8felt tears in her eyes8

*the words of the assistant Masha abt wat Drix said to her rang in Leah's mind*

~Assistant: Aftr wat he did to his wife, he has nothing to live for...~

Leah; 8leaned against the wall7

Takashi: *just so happen to be at the hospital for his regular chk up of his pregnancy caught sight of Leah* Eh? Leah-san?

Leah; 8didn't notice him8

Takashi: *entered the room n saw Drix n was shocked* L...Leah-san...D...Drix-san wa...?

Leah; 8turned to him8

Takashi: Leah-san...Wat happened to ur donno (husband)?

Leah; Poison

Takashi: Na...Nani...? How did he get tht? Tell me evrything

Leah; 8told him what she had learned8

Takashi: Ahh...Ya...Yabaii... (oh crap) Is...Is this gonna be permanent? His appearance?

Leah; I'm not sure

Takashi: *felt bad for her n hugged her, trying to make her feel better*

Leah; 8was shaking8

Takashi: Sa, Drix-san is strong. He'll pull thru. He wont abandon u, ne?

Lrah; 8sighed8

Takashi: Its not ur fault, so dont blame urself. Drix-san will pull thru

Leah; ~I hope~

Takashi: *accompanied Leah for a while before taking his leave, returning to the shop*
